The band, Rin Tin Tiger, was the subject of an Adobe AfterEffects class assignment; each student was to take one minute of their song, “Pretty Looks,” and make a music video concept. After reviewing the work of each student, they selected my video as one of four finalists to complete the song and merit consideration to be their official “Pretty Looks” music video.
My concept was based on their desire for a dark video. I incorporated sepia, shadow, and distressed typography as I aimed for a gritty style. Rin Tin Tiger ultimately decided they wanted a lighter take than what I produced, and my video finished as a runner up.
