In my first real venture into UI/UX application design, I was contracted to work for Miaplaza, Inc. on the development of their geography application for Apple products, GeoTouch. The majority of Miaplaza's projects fall under the "educational games" umbrella, including several other apps and their websites, Clever Dragons and Always Icecream. In an effort to avoid the sometimes overly-complex interfaces that Miaplaza has used in the past, I opted to keep GeoTouch very clean and simple. This step immediately gave the app a more mature feel, which was something I tried to continue with my adaptation of their original, kid-friendly dragon icon. GeoTouch is currently one of Miaplaza's top selling apps.
I've tried to approximate gameplay in the slideshow, including the introductory screens, tutorial, and the learning and practice modes.
